Annual Conference: Saturday, May 18, 2019:  Leading the Beloved Community

The Annual Conference provides participants the opportunity to interact on a given program theme with well-known theologians, pastors and other thought-leaders working in the area of pastoral leadership, adaptive leadership, and reconciliation.  Open to all Christian ministers and clergy.

2019 Cohort Annual Summer Program: Sunday, July 21- Friday, July 26, 2019

The Annual Summer Program brings local pastors together to spend an intensive week participating in a pastoral enrichment program and learning support groups with theologians and clergy who have national reputations in leadership education.  You must apply to be part of the cohort and commit to participate.

2019 Cohort Learning and Support Groups: Monthly, September 2019 - May 2020

Clergy groups will meet to support one another and discuss the theory and practice of pastoral leadership with a special focus on building the Beloved Community in each dimension of their parish ministry. Learning sites will be selected throughout Metro Detroit so these groups can learn about different churches and organizations in the city.  You must apply to be part of the cohort and commit to participate.

The Institute for Advanced Pastoral Studies is facilitated by an Annual Lecture, a week-long Summer Program, and a Monthly Support Group.
