Black Narcissus
Our first is the “Black Narcissus”, a 1947 British film starring Deborah Kerr, Sabu and Jean Simmons that movie critic Leonard Maltin awarded a maximum four star rating. He writes “One of the most visually sumptuous, dramatically charged movies from Rumer Godden’s novel about nuns trying to establish a mission in a remote Himalayan outpost amidst formidable physical and emotional challenges.” The movies include an introduction and discussion led by Mike Frank.
Movies will also be shown on October 20, November 17 and December 15. Mark your calendars and join us!”
