Summer Opportunities:
Here is a list of some planned activities for the Summer of 2013. Other activities will be announced from time to time:
Vacation Bible School, June 24 – 28 ~ We will need lots of counselors and counselors-in-training, grades 6th -12th.
Last year we welcomed 120 campers, and this year we could have as many as 200 – IF we have enough counselors! Parents are very welcome (and needed) to volunteer as well! We have a volunteer form for you to complete. a commitments of attendance for the entire week, Monday through Friday, and one training session is required. For more information, contact Jessica Neeper at 248-644-5210, ext. 28 or jneeper@christchurchcranbrook.org. This provides excellent leadership training and the experience is going to be amazing.
Bass Lake Camp – Join youth from Christ Church Cranbrook for Bass lake 2013, also known as Bass Lake Music Fest. This is a 4 day Youth CAmp and Retreat (Up North at Camp Michi-Lu-Ca), July 26-29, 2013 for High School-aged youth – incoming 9th graders to 2013′s graduating seniors. We’d LOVE for you to come! A group of us went last year and had a great time. There is time for canoeing, hiking, and other activities every day. We stay in cabins, and come together each day for meals we make together. Lots of the activities are centered around live music (meet bands and youth from all over.) Your friends are also welcome to register to attend as well!
The cost is approximately $100 per person. Scholarships are available. This will cover participation costs (cabin, t-shirt, amp fees and activities.) Each person is responsible for their own travel to and from Michi-Lu-Ca however we will work on carpooling and I am definitely bringing the church van. Please let me know if you are planning on attending right away so that I can reserve cabin space.
