Servant Saturday: Mansfield Project

Written by Peggy Dahlberg
I just want to say thank you so much and to everyone who showed up and to Christ Church Cranbrook. Everyone was amazing and so nice. You all did such a great job working so hard even with the bad wether we had. My family and I were really happy to work with you guys, to meet and get to know you guys. You guys are so amazing.
This note was written my the wife/mother of the recent Servant Saturday project. We went to the home a Syrian refugee family and helped them get started of fixing up their house. They wanted a garden so they could grow some of their own food and help in removing vegetation. They also needed help in painting the trim of the house. Following the proverb “Give a man a fish and you feed him  for the day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime,” David Jensen taught the husband/father and the oldest son how to prep and paint. In addition to David, the grounds clean up crew consisted of David Austin, Rob Beebe, Christine Blackwell, Seba Bodden, Leslie Collins, Peggy and Lyle Dahlberg, Christine Gahman, Nancy and Pat Henahan, Donna Hughes, Joan Jensen, Eric Linder, and Emily Wolfe. As you can see from the pictures, In spite of the torrential rain, a lot of work was accomplished and Christ’s work continues to occur though the CCC family and their friends.
