Why are there boxes in the pews?

By the Rev. Dr. William J. Danaher, Jr., Rector

With the colder months upon us, our in-person services held Saturdays at 5pm and Sundays at 11am, which are normally held outdoors, will be increasingly held inside the church (you can continue to check the front page of the website each morning to confirm whether the services will be inside or outside).

To help keep us safe when we worship indoors, we have placed boxes in the pews, spaced in such a way so as to designate the available seating and to help ensure six feet of distance in order to comply with the mandated requirements we are following. Within each available pew, the interior boxes can be moved to make room for larger families – so feel free to slide them over as needed.

What do you think of our solution?  Some commented the boxes resemble an art installation, others find them beautiful!  Send us a comment using the response form at www.cccathome.org
