If you have come to church lately, you know that we at Christ Church Cranbrook are collecting Back-to-School Shoes for our neighboring Micah 6 Community because of the goal pole built in the narthex. This week we want to share a story about a heartfelt gesture made by Dr. John Foster, owner of Clarkston Family Dental. He has donated funds to purchase over thirty pairs of Crocs for the children, made in loving memory of 25-year-old Olger Fantich, a valued team member for just a month, before his untimely passing as a result of injuries sustained from a car accident.
During his brief time at the dental practice, Olger proved to be a breath of fresh air, leaving a lasting impression on everyone he encountered. Olger’s love for his own pair of Crocs was unmistakable. Adorned with playful Pokémon themes and covered in Pokémon Jibbitz, his Croc clogs became a playful reflection of his vibrant personality. Heidi Emery, Office Manager, fondly recalls teasing Olger about his “dorky” Crocs, expressing a lighthearted camaraderie that further enhanced their bond.
Through this act of kindness, Clarkston Family Dental not only pays tribute to Olger’s memory but also celebrates his passion for helping others. The donated Crocs will serve as a tangible reminder of Olger’s presence and his genuine dedication to making a positive impact on the lives of those around him.
May the gift of these Crocs bring comfort, joy, and a sense of belonging to the children who receive them. And may Olger’s memory continue to inspire acts of kindness, fostering a community where individuality is celebrated and compassion knows no bounds.
