What happens to all of those costumes?

By Roxanne Perry

We’ve received a wonderful assortment of spooky and adorable costumes during our September item of the month collection! Thanks to your generosity, families at Lighthouse (an emergency homeless shelter in Pontiac) can afford to partake in the Halloween fun at school and events nearby.

On Friday, October 13th, we’re hosting “I Scream – You Scream Ice Cream Social” at Lighthouse. Your donated costumes will be distributed to eager youngsters during this event, bringing smiles and creating unforgettable memories. Don’t miss your chance to be part of this heartwarming initiative!

You too can be part of the magic as we assist these kids in picking our their Halloween costumes. From our last Item Of The Month collection, we now get to match up the costume to the cutie-pie!! Watch their faces light up as they choose their spooky disguises! Feel free to wear your spookiest, silliest, or most creative Halloween attire! Let’s make it a monstrously fun evening!

We could still use several sets of helpful hands at the event. Click here to get involved!

Volunteer activities include:
– Scoop and serve ice cream
– Help children with costume selections
– Assist in creating spooky sundaes
– Set up and decorate the venue
– And much more!
