At the beginning of February, we welcomed our first Thriving Family. Thriving Families is a program for families in need to experience some financial assistance along with a care team of members who companion them for a year. Tina is a single mom with a son who is a high school senior. Tina is hoping to finish up her Bachelor’s at Oakland University and her son will be attending Oakland University with a full ride. They have experienced a lot of struggle and just a couple of weeks ago found out their major source of funding has been cut off. God must have been in the planning to have Christ Church Cranbrook walk alongside Tina and her family at this time knowing together is the way.
We have four amazing parishioners who have formed Tina’s Care Team. They have a group chat that is active. Tina shares her blessings and her problems. The care team is empathetic and responsive. It has given our Thriving Family hope and our Care Team purpose. And God is at work healing all of us. If you have interest in joining the work of Thriving Families, please click here.
