A Message from the rector

Since its founding, Christ Church Cranbrook has built a storied history as a center for faith formation, philanthropy, sacred music and the arts.  As our church grows, our mission continues to expand. Our parishioners have been very generous and gracious in supporting the needs of the parish – both spiritually and financially. God has always blessed us. Today, we continue our proud tradition of serving the faithful in our area by being the catalyst and gathering place for community and interfaith partnerships which fuel an ever-widening mission to the surrounding region and beyond.

In 2017, the Christ Church Cranbrook community came together as one to chart the course of our future and to establish a set of priorities.  We took on a strategic planning process which was an enriching experience for all. From this strategic process we identified campus priorities that will need financial resources.

The From Our Founding to Our Future capital campaign is a major step in fulfilling our mission in Christ and acting as good stewards by providing for the future of Christ Church Cranbrook.

At a time when many churches are declining, by the grace of God we are growing and thriving. To keep pace with what God is doing, we must, like our founders, walk by faith and give generously so that we continue to be a place where we meet Jesus, find Joy, share Beauty, and serve Others.

Please join me in this Capital Campaign prayer for the success of this important effort:

Loving God, All that we have is yours.

Every gift we receive begins first in you.

You have even given us your Son, Jesus,

the gift of yourself, who gave his life that we might live.

As we faithfully walk into our parish’s future, bless us with your Spirit

so that we love as you love, and we give as you give.

Keep us mindful of your generosity so that, like our founders,

we might bear witness to you with all that we are and in all that we do,

through your mercy and grace.

Amen.

Yours with prayers and affection,

The Rev. Canon Dr. William J. Danaher, Jr., Rector
