In Metro Detroit, Christian pastors and lay leaders are constantly called to work collaboratively in a changing and diverse religious and civic landscape. The Institute for Advanced Pastoral Studies (IAPS), is proud to present “Your Potential in Giving Away Power: Leadership in Today’s Church” for our annual conference. Gathering nationally recognized pastors and leaders to speak about their experiences and insights regarding personal transformation, congregational growth, and civic engagement. This conference furthers our work to build a network of intentionally ecumenical and deliberately diverse Christian leaders. Our 2023 featured speakers are:

IAPS is run in partnership by Hartford Memorial Baptist Church in Detroit and Christ Church Cranbrook in Bloomfield Hills. IAPS’s goal is to build a network of intentionally ecumenical and deliberately diverse Christian leaders and provide continuing education to faith leaders in Metro Detroit and now Atlanta as well. IAPS is generously funded with a grant from the Lilly Endowment and Trinity Wall Street.
