Join us for a memorable evening service as we remember those who have died from the COVID-19 pandemic. Featuring moving performances by Christine Goerke, world-renowned dramatic soprano, all are welcome to join us on the Church at Home page.
The memorial service will include a special reading by Wayne Brown (Michigan Opera Theatre, President & CEO) of “When Great Trees Fall” by Maya Angelou and meditation by Rochelle Riley (Office for Arts, Culture, and Entrepreneurship, Director); four solo performances by Christine Goerke, accompanied by violinist Phoebe Gelzer-Govatos and pianist Steven McGhee; and, a listing of the names of the COVID-19 victims gathered from publicly available sources.
