Prophets, Poets & Preachers: Alicia Skillman (Prophet)

January 5 @ 5:00 PM - 6:30 PM

Come celebrate the final service of the Christmas season at Evensong for the Epiphany, the feast of Christ’s “manifestation” to the wandering magis and to the world.

Our series this year, “Prophets, Poets and Preachers” features guest preachers who are visionary and poetic, hopeful and grounded, prophetic and dreamers. There will be a chance to meet and interact with guest speakers at a reception immediately following the service. Alicia Skillman, Executive Director of the Detroit Board of Ethics, will offer a reflection.

Music includes Thomas Walmisley’s Evening Service in D minor and James Whitbourn’s haunting contemporary work, The Magi’s Dream. Mitchell Garcia, Assistant Organist at St. Hugo of the Hills, will offer an organ recital at 4:30 p.m.
