An event every week that begins at 9:00 AM on Sunday, repeating until December 18, 2022
Sundays | Dec 4, 11 & 18 | 9 AM | Multi-purpose room
As we work our way through the Advent season to the birth of Christ, it’s helpful to explore other birth stories in the Bible as well as what pregnancy/birth might have looked like in ancient Israel. How did women seek to overcome experiences of infertility to have the children their society required them to have? What made childbirth so dangerous, and how did women cope with these risks? And, given this information, how might Mary have felt to find herself giving birth in a strange town on what we’ve come to know as Christmas Eve? Join us for a 3-week series to discuss the joys, perils, and miracles of childbirth in the ancient world and how they might relate to families today.
