SUMMARY:Lighthouse Emergency Shelter Week
DESCRIPTION:Every year\, we come alongside Lighthouse to serve dozens of families in the shelter\, most with children around 10 years old\, providing meals\, comfort\, and care. This week gives residents care and kindness in an otherwise difficult time. Through our item of the month collection we are requesting new and gently used Halloween costumes for the children in the shelter to be given out at an ice cream party on Oct. 17th. \nThis year\, to feed the families housed in the emergency shelter\, we will need 880 items and $5\,000 ($2.97 a meal) to feed breakfast\, lunch\, and dinner to 80 people for the week of Oct.12 – 18th! \nHere are ways you can get involved: \n\nDonate – food or funds to feed those in the shelter for the week.\nVolunteer – to make food kits\, cook\, package\, and deliver meals.\nVolunteer – at the costume party on Oct. 17\, 5-8 P.M.
