A powerful service led by our Choir with candles, an enveloping darkness and chant to prepare for the crucifixion of Christ, our Savior. Christopher Bahrke, a member of our parish, will provide a short testimony. This service is in the church and will also be broadcast online here!

Christopher Bahrke has been a member of Christ Church Cranbrook since June 2021. Christopher owns and operates a successful hair salon where he spends most of his days making others feel and look their best. In his free time, he dedicates himself to helping those struggling with substance abuse and has been able to reach out to people in treatment centers and the 44thdistrict sobriety court in Royal Oak, where he serves as a mentor, helping others navigate their path to sobriety, sharing his story and finding strength in serving others. He is also a proud board member of Far Therapeutic Arts and Recreation, an organization that uses art and music to help people with special needs overcome challenges and limitations. Christopher has been serving on the board since 2018. Among his hobbies, he enjoys practicing martial arts and traveling. He serves on various committees and opportunities at Christchurch, including being a verger. And a co-facilitator in the EFM program. He also recently joined the mission and outreach committee. Christopher’s life revolves around serving others. Seeing people find and feel at home when entering our church brings him great joy—connecting him with those around him. Above all, he feels God’s presence when helping others. He has been married to his husband, Alan, since September 2019. Their two rescue dogs, Stella and Benny, complete their happy family
