TIM MILLER
Class of 2023, Assistant Secretary
My wife, Karla, and I have been members of Christ Church Cranbrook since 2006. Recently retired after 31 years in automotive communications at BBDO, J. Walter Thompson and Ross Roy, I enjoyed a career that took me from the conference rooms of Chrysler and Ford to the backlots of Hollywood studios. While it had its “Mad Men” moments, my real work centered around Account Management, Strategic Planning and Marketing Research for brands and new product launches. Avid traveler, trained master gardener, landscape designer and amateur old house restorer are a few of the labels I can claim as interests. The best part of retirement has been the ability to use the blessings and gifts that God has provided to Karla and I to engage more deeply at CCC. The most prominent focus of my parish life has been the goal of serving others. My inspiration has been the example set by so many parishioners who give selflessly of themselves to contribute to both our church community and to those in need around us. I serve as a member of the Mission & Outreach Committee, a Eucharistic Minister and a Cedarbrook lay chaplain. I’m particularly proud of helping CCC play a part in supporting Sanctum House, a residential program for victims of human trafficking. Christ Church Cranbrook is entering an exciting period in its history with a new dynamism in the parish and upcoming physical changes in the campus. I am honored to use my professional experience and volunteer background to help support our church during this time of substantial and positive change.
