In my years here as Mission & Outreach Coordinator, joining Micah 6 for their annual “Summer Slam,” is a highlight of my year. This joyous celebration marks the end of summer and the beginning of a new school year. Families, volunteers, and community partners are brought together in this vibrant event to share in the excitement of a new school year.
In 2024, Thanks to your incredible generosity through our July Item of the Month, we helped give away 915 pairs of brand-new shoes (plus other school essentials) to children and families preparing for the year ahead. From sneakers to Crocs, the kids lit up as they picked their favorite styles, eager to step into the school year with confidence and pride. Experiencing these kids light up with joy over their new shoes is a priceless experience and gift from God.
We are overjoyed to partner in something that brings so much hope to our neighbors. We’re thrilled to support Micah 6 again this summer and hope you’ll pray over how you can get involved. Whether it’s helping to reach our goal of 500 shoes or serving at Summer Slam, you’ll experience immense joy making a difference in these children’s lives.
