Teens

Middle Schoolers enjoy activities in the church that are more action- oriented and allow them to ask questions as they wonder about their life together with one another and God. Our programs give space for young people to build friendships, have fun and learn their faith.

Conversations with Kellie

*On break for the summer*

Sundays at 9:45 AM in the Youth Room

Middle and high school youth will meet to talk about current events and how they tie into the gospel with Kellie Herdade, our Children, Youth and Family Minister.

Cranbrook Choristers

Rehearsals: Sundays 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM

Cranbrook Choristers is for children and youth starting in grade 3.  Modeled after the English cathedral tradition, choristers receive a high level of musical and vocal training which enables them to sing music at an adult professional level.  Through a custom-made curriculum, they receive instruction in reading music, theory, analysis, liturgy, and leadership.  Choristers experience numerous benefits from this program beyond music, such as an expanded circle of friends, greater self-confidence, higher academic achievement, and growth in maturity. Cranbrook Choristers typically sing at the Sunday 10 a.m. service an average of once a month.  Choristers enjoy other social activities together as well. No prior musical or vocal training is necessary for choristers joining in grades 3 or 4.  Cranbrook Choristers is open to children and families of any or no religious affiliation!

Our high school programming aims to provide sacred space for growing up. High Schoolers are dealing with the stress of school and extracurricular activities, as well as managing life as a teenager. CCC offers a place that allows them to be themselves, be refreshed and experience God’s unconditional love no matter what is happening in their lives.

Every youth ninth grade and higher is invited to join confirmation class. This class meets monthly from September through April with confirmation in May. We will spend time with our community partners in Detroit and explore different populations that we can help. Registration opens in January.

College Students and Beyond

Each college student receives a care package from the church as a reminder of God’s love for them. In late December all college students are welcomed back home with a College Brunch. Opportunities to serve during the summer are offered.
