There’s a quiet power in saying yes.
Yes to showing up.Yes to trusting God. Yes to becoming part of something bigger than ourselves.
For many of us, the journey of faith begins with a longing—to feel God’s presence more deeply, to live with greater peace, to know that we’re not alone. Over time, we discover that this longing is best nourished not by fleeting inspiration, but by steady, embodied practices: prayer, worship, service, and yes—giving.
Giving is how we participate in God’s love. It’s how we say yes to grace, yes to generosity, yes to the kind of life that moves from fear to freedom.
And when we turn our giving into a pledge, we make a commitment to the practice of generosity. What might otherwise be a spontaneous or occasional act—shaped by mood or circumstance—becomes an intentional, consistent expression of faith. It’s a way of saying, “I believe in what God is doing here, and giving to that mission is part of who I am.”
Pledging invites prayerful reflection on what we will give and how often. It calls us to make conscious choices, to prioritize generosity, and to align our resources with our values. Like daily prayer or weekly worship, pledging becomes a spiritual rhythm—one that shapes our hearts, deepens our trust, and draws us closer to God.
Pledging also connects us to community. When we pledge, we’re not just supporting a church budget—we’re investing in a shared mission. We’re helping create a space where children are nurtured, newcomers are welcomed, and all of us are spiritually nourished and cared for. When we pledge to Christ Church Cranbrook, we’re saying yes to a church that feeds the hungry, comforts the grieving, and celebrates the sacred in everyday life.
If you’ve never pledged before, consider trying it on as a spiritual practice this year. Not out of obligation, but out of hope. Not because you have to, but because you want to say yes—to God, to community, to the kind of life that generosity makes possible.
On November 22/23, we invite everyone who considers Christ Church Cranbrook to be their spiritual home to consider making a pledge to support the mission and ministry of this church in 2026. Please pray about how you might be called to give this year and say “yes!” You can make your pledge anytime here.
