We begin in darkness and light a new fire. From it we light the Paschal or Easter candle, which burns all fifty days of Easter season, and at every baptism and funeral. We hear the ancient stories of God as liberator and life-giver by candlelight. We proclaim the resurrection of Jesus in word, song, and sacrament, as we celebrate the first Eucharist of Easter with great joy. The Christ Church Choir offers a capella anthems reflecting the death of Jesus.
