The letter to the Galatians is Paul’s brief and (in many ways) most powerful statement of his distinctive vision of God’s grace, the transformative power of love, and the freedom we have in Jesus. Fr. Bill Carroll will lead a six-week study, where we will cover one chapter of the letter each week. Participants are encouraged to bring their favorite versions of the Bible, either physical copies or digital ones. Bibles will also be available. This class is part of a broader effort to grow in our ability to read and use the Bible as followers of Jesus in the Episcopal Church. We will talk about the theory at a later date. We begin by reading the text together in community, in order to seek God’s broad and freely given love. We will have dinner in the atrium at 6:30 pm and begin bible study in the large multipurpose room at 7 pm.
