This Advent, experience the ancient tradition of centering prauer and discover the still, small voice of the One who speaks without words. Led by the Rev. Marjorie Wilhelmi and Father Chris Harris, this 3-week evening prayer gathering in St. Pauls Chapel is a perfect compliment to our Advent season of anticipation and hope. Beginners are welcome, with instruction provided each night, and you can attend all three nights or just one!

As central as the Book of Common Prayer is to our worship and spiritual practices, as beautifully poetic and helpful it has been throughout the ages and around the world, there are times in our relationship with God when we come to end of language—when our communion with the mystery of God transcends words. The ancient tradition of Centering Prayer has revolutionary potential that extends far beyond the practice of prayer to transform our daily living.

This series is led by Rev. Chris Harris and Rev. Marjorie Wilhelmi who is an ordained Minister in the Presbyterian Church (USA). She has served as pastor in several churches in this area, most recently the Kirk in the Hills. She is certified by the Shalem Institute in Contemplative Leadership and a recent graduate of Living School for Action and Contemplation. Marjorie is drawn into contemplative practices as they help us live more fully into our Christian faith and is passionate about inviting others to join in that adventure.
