Easter Vigil

March 30 @ 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM

The Holy Tridium ends with this Vigil service. We start in darkness with only a candle to guide us as we hear the ancient stories of how God has cared for the world throughout history. Then, when the candles are about to go out, there is light! This is the first service of Easter – experience the profound joy of the Resurrection anew. This service will also be broadcast online. Pastor Ben Larson-Wolbrink will be speaking.

Pastor Ben Larson-Wolbrink is blessed to serve at Northbrook Presbyterian Church in Beverly Hills, Michigan, and he is an enthusiastic participant in the 2024 Detroit Cohort of the Institute for Advanced Pastoral Studies at Christ Church Cranbrook.  Ben grew up in Western New York, studied at the College of Wooster in Ohio, and received his MDiv from McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago.  Ben’s ordained ministry has included campus ministry at the University of Arizona in Tucson and congregational ministry in Beacon, NY.  He has served as a mission volunteer in South India, worked at the Presbyterian Church (USA) denominational offices, and is a big fan of camp ministries.  Ben’s wife, Gretchen, is a Parish Associate for Christian Education at Greenfield Presbyterian Church in Berkley, and they are learning to juggle life with their three beloved kids: Lily (16), Hope (13), and Nathan (11).  When not doing ministry or spending time with his family, Ben tries to maximize his time connecting with God in the great outdoors.  He can also be found reading a good book, making music, playing basketball, firing up the grill, or volunteering with the Inland Seas Education Association.
