Kathy Brooks was born at Camp Lejeune, a Marian Corps Base in North Carolina. She grew up in Birmingham, Michigan. After graduating from Marian High School, she continued her education at Central Michigan University. At Central Michigan University, Kathy earned a B.S. in Business Administration. Later on, she received a Master of Science in Accountancy from Walsh College. After working for a small eastside CPA firm, she spent several years in the business offices of Detroit Youth Theatre and the Northbrook Presbyterian Church before coming to Christ Church Cranbrook. She was also a volunteer accountant with St. Dunstan's Theatre, where she handled all backstage jobs and a few onstage jobs. Kathy has also worked as a volunteer gardener for a number of local nonprofit organizations. Kathy and her husband live in Royal Oak, where everything they need is a short walk from their home. In her free time, she likes gardening, reading, and camping.
