Marla Carew came to Christ Church Cranbrook as an adult, wondering if she could find a church home where she would not need to leave any part of herself at the door. She found that home and was confirmed here. She received her B.A., M.A., and J.D. at the University of Michigan and a Taxation Law L.L.M. at Wayne State University Law School. Marla has worked as a business, nonprofit, and tax lawyer for nearly 25 years and has served on nonprofit boards and leadership counsels. She currently serves as the General Counsel, Regional Compliance Officer, and Corporate Secretary for the NA region for Brose North America, a global mechatronics automotive supplier. She met her husband, Evan, 30 years ago, and they currently reside in Beverly Hills. At Christ Church Cranbrook, Marla participates in the Education for Ministry 4-year adult formation program and serves as a Eucharistic Minister. In her free time, Marla enjoys creative writing, hiking, running, birdwatching, cooking (especially international foods), and traveling.
