Cranbrook Project Arts & Program Manager
As a classically-trained opera singer, composer, and educator, Kisma is distinctly aware of the power of her voice, not only as an instrument but also as a vehicle to effect change. A native of Detroit, Kisma holds multiple degrees in music from Kentucky State University, the College of Musical Arts at Bowling Green State University, and the Peabody Institute of The Johns Hopkins University. Kisma has served on the faculty of the University of Michigan, Wayne County Community College, and Macomb County Community College. A consummate creative, Kisma takes an artistic approach to most of her work, including her love for design and culinary arts.
