Dietrich’s family of seven has been members at Christ Church Cranbrook for the last 12 years! He grew up in Frankfurt, Germany, where he went through K-13 school followed by 2 years of active military service. He received an undergrad. education in business and economics at Frankfurt University. After graduating in 1991, Dietrich joined JPMorgan in Frankfurt, followed by several years as an investment banking associate in JPMorgan’s London Office until 1994. He returned to the US, graduating with a Master of Business Admin. degree from Dartmouth in 1996, and during that time, he also discovered his passion for the real estate industry and met his wife Katy, who’ve been married for 28 years. They have moved many times; until finally relocating to Michigan in 2013. He was baptized as a child, but did not grow up religious. His first interactions with Christianity were through Christian Middle and High School, where weekly church services introduced him to liturgy and worship. During their many moves as a family, the Episcopal church provided a place of familiar community, no matter where they were.
