MEG HUNTER
Assistant Secretary, Class of 2028
Meg has been a life-long Episcopalian, with parents who also were life-long Episcopalians. She was born in Philadelphia, where she spent childhood at Trinity Church in Swarthmore, PA and Immanuel Church Highlands in Wilmington, DE. A strong influence on her views regarding religion was attending Wilmington Friends School for many years, where they emphasized the Quaker tenet and that there is God in every person. Her undergrad. education was at Duke and Meg has law school education at Vanderbilt. Following Vanderbilt, she practiced law in Richmond, VA. for three years, where she was a member of St. James Episcopal Church. She moved to Michigan and married her husband Scott, practicing law for 30+ years with a large Detroit firm until her recent retirement. In 2000, Meg and Scott joined CCC, where their son was baptized, confirmed, and served as an acolyte. Since her retirement, she has served on the board of a small non-profit that promotes historic preservation.
