Bev Nelson grew up in Memphis, TN and has only been in Michigan since 2021. She received a BA in Classical Studies and Psychology from Vanderbilt University and a Masters of Arts in Teaching from the University of Memphis. She worked as a middle school Latin and Classical Mythology teacher for four years before moving to Michigan. She is a lifelong Episcopalian and lover of sacred music. She sings in the Christ Church Cranbrook Choir and also serves as the Chorister Program Manager for the Choir School. In her spare time, she is a voracious reader as well as a lover of video games and TTRPGs (tabletop roleplaying games). She is excited to have found a welcoming and inclusive worship community that she can aid with her skills in teaching and administration.
