Matt is a lifelong Michigan resident. He holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Michigan State University and a Master of Educational Leadership degree from The University of Michigan. He taught elementary general music in the Walled Lake Schools for thirty years before retiring in 2017. When not in the music library at church, Matt can also be found behind the front desk at Antonino Salon in Birmingham or perhaps giving a tour of the Cranbrook campus or the Frank Lloyd Wright designed Smith House offered through the Cranbrook Center for Collections and Research where he is a Collections Interpreter. Matt is also involved with several area community theaters both on and off stage. He and his husband Marc live in Ferndale.
