It is our joy to welcome and affirm all couples regardless of gender or sexual orientation who wish to be married in the Episcopal Church, provided that at least one of the couple is a baptized Christian or wishes to be baptized.
If you are divorced, you may be remarried in the Episcopal Church with approval from the bishop (please allow for additional time to complete this approval process).

Who can get married at Christ Church Cranbrook?

What if one of us is divorced?
If you are divorced, you may be remarried in the Episcopal Church with approval from the bishop (please allow for additional time to complete this approval process).
What time may we get married?
Weddings in the church’s main sanctuary may begin as late as 3pm on Saturdays. We cannot accommodate weddings in the main sanctuary after 3pm because of our Saturday 5pm worship service. For other days and other chapels, please contact Suzy Bai, Assistant to the Clergy, at sbai@christchurchcranbrook.org to discuss options.
Can we use our own officiant?
All services at Christ Church Cranbrook are officiated by the clergy of Christ Church Cranbrook.
Can we take photography on the grounds of the Cranbrook School campus?
Although we are neighbors, the Cranbrook Educational Community is a separate institution. Permission to take photos on their grounds must be obtained directly from them.
Do you require pre-marital counseling?
Yes! A wedding at Christ Church Cranbrook is a very special occasion. Our clergy want to get to know you as a couple and help you strengthen your relationship by guiding you through meaningful counseling, culminating in a beautiful and profound wedding
