New ministry seeks to help those facing a job transition.
By Marc Robinson
In addition to changes in just about ever aspect of our life, COVID-19 has brought with it staggering unemployment and economic slowdown. The Career Transition Network is a ministry of Christ Church Cranbrook developed to offer practical ideas and support for those facing unemployment, work furlough or a job transition/change. Each week will be a different focus:
After each webinar, we will have a discussion and mini-workshop. There is no commitment. Come to whichever workshops you can.
Learning how to build a professional network is a key skill to success in your career as well as navigating the competitive job market, yet it’s not a skill generally taught in school or in professional training nor does it come naturally to everyone. (A famous sociological article called “The Strength of Weak Ties” by Mark Granovetter documents this pattern). If you or someone you know would benefit from this series of workshops – please invite them to join the conversation!
