Finding Joy in Community

By Chris Harris

After more than two years of on-again, off-again pandemic-fueled isolation, it’s time to have some fun again – and that means gathering! As wonderful as our online offerings are, and as helpful as social media can be in feeling connected, there is no replacement for actual face-to-face, elbow-to-elbow interaction with real, live people. And with loneliness and social isolation quickly becoming the next epidemic, there’s no time like the present to start finding joy in one another’s company once more!

Throughout the summer, members of Christ Church Cranbrook are opening their homes and offering their talents. Whether it’s a Euchre Party (beginners and first-timers welcome!), line dancing (a GREAT idea for singles!), wine tasting, outdoor BBQs and boating, garden tours, or tea parties, check out our list of events here. Each party is a wonderful opportunity to meet a new friend and reconnect with long-time friends – AND they are an ideal way to introduce someone to the church you’ve been meaning to invite. Oh, and did we mention that all proceeds go to support Christ Church’s Outreach Ministries? Check out the complete list here and let me know if you have any questions: charris@christchurchcranbrook.org
