OUR FOUNDING
The sanctuary of Christ Church Cranbrook was constructed through a remarkably generous donation by the noted philanthropists, George and Ellen Booth. Originally the church was part of the Cranbrook Educational Community.

The current program building was constructed.
Renovations were made to the church organ.
A second round of renovations were made to the church organ.
The West Window was restored.
Air-Tempering in the Sanctuary was installed.
A Space Study was conducted. The 2016 Space Study revealed the need for a large multipurpose room for activities that would involve more than 150 people (our current capacity). It also revealed emerging space needs in terms of office space, and additional classrooms that are closer to the sanctuary. Finally, it revealed that we need to find dedicated space for our youth and for parishioners and visitors to congregate informally.
The Little Lambs Playground was installed using natural playscape.
On January 28, Daniel Cascardo started the outline of the mural during Father Bill’s sermon. During Lent, the congregation added color to the mural onsite. Two weeks before Easter, Daniel took the piece to his studio to finish and stretch the canvas. The finished art work was unveiled on Easter 2018 and currently hangs in the Hospitality Center.
The Columbarium expansion is in process, so that we can continue to provide parishioners with a place for memory, healing, and rest.
A new organ in St. Dunstan’s Chapel will be installed. We are preserving the original counsel, cabinetry, and bench.
